Zucker Promotes Gaspin, Comstock

New NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker is shaking up the ranks just one week after he was promoted to chief, succeeding Peacock veteran Bob Wright.

Zucker promoted Jeff Gaspin to president of NBC U Cable and Digital Content, while Beth Comstock was named president of NBC U Integrated Media and Marc Graboff was tapped as president of NBC U Television.

Zucker’s move combines oversight of the media company’s cable content and distribution under a single organization, headed by Gaspin. Bridget Baker, president of Television Networks Distribution, will now report to Gaspin, along with USA Network and Sci Fi Channel president Bonnie Hammer, Bravo president Lauren Zalaznick and Dan Harrison, senior vice president of emerging networks, who oversees Universal HD, Sleuth, horror network Chiller and NBCU 2 Go.

NBC said president of digital distribution Jean-Briac Perrette will report to both Gaspin and chief digital officer George Kliavkoff.

Comstock is adding oversight of TV ad sales as president of integrated media. Her direct reports include sales president Michael Pilot, iVillage Properties president Deborah Fine, Kliavkoff and research president Alan Wurtzel.

Graboff will run NBC U’s entertainment division, TV studio and its promotion arm. His direct reports include West Coast-based executives Kevin Reilly, president, NBC Entertainment; Angela Bromstad, president, NBC U Television Studio; and John Miller, president, NBC Agency and chief marketing officer, NBC U Television.
