Adult Swim Announces Robot Chicken Roller Skating Tour

Adult Swim and Robot Chicken creators and executive producers Seth Green and Matt Senreich are celebrating the release of the Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II DVD this summer by strapping on a pair of roller skates and living on a tour bus for two weeks just to bring Robot Chicken-style fun to the masses. Green and Senreich host the celebration throughout the nine-city roller rink tour across America, featuring performances by one of the hottest bands today, Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group Gym Class Heroes, in addition to special Robot Chicken guests including the show's writers and producers, celebrity guest stars, Robot Chicken-themed activities and games and exclusive Adult Swim merchandise. Adult Swim's Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II Roller Skating Tour kicks off in Los Angeles August 1. A preview party, which is also open to the public, will take place on July 25 in San Diego with a guest DJ.

Adult Swim Presents Summer at Santos Series

Free Live Music and Comedy Performance Series Hosted by the Stars of Adult Swim; Six Bi-Weekly Showcases Begin in June at Manhattan's Santos Party House

Crafted specifically for Adult Swim fans, the ADULT SWIM PRESENTS SUMMER AT SANTOS SERIES includes six live shows featuring a different musical and comedy performance each time. To host and create these shows, Adult Swim tapped into the best resource they know - their talent. Talent comprised of show creators and stars of Adult Swim series like Delocated, Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! were called on to curate their own slices of comedy and music heaven that will feature an array of unique talent chosen by each of them.

All six shows of ADULT SWIM PRESENTS SUMMER AT SANTOS SERIES will occur every other Thursday night, beginning on June 11, at the Santos Party House located at 96 LaFayette St. in New York City. Adult Swim Announces New Stop-Motion Animated Series, Titan Maximum

New Series From Head Writer/Creators of Popular Adult Swim Original, Robot Chicken

Adult Swim's newest original comedy series, Titan Maximum, launches this fall from the creators of the network's most popular original series, Robot Chicken. Created by Robot Chicken producer/co-head writer/director Tom Root and Robot Chicken executive producer/co-creator/writer/director Matthew Senreich, Titan Maximum uses stop-motion animation to bring a 1980s-inspired action cartoon to life as only the Emmy-winning Robot Chicken team can. Robot Chicken executive producer/co-creator/writer/director Seth Green will voice the show's villain and Root, Senreich and Green executive produce the new series. Created in conjunction with ShadowMachine Films'(Tm) Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, the series also features the voice acting of Breckin Meyer, Rachael Leigh Cook, Dan Milano and Eden Espinosa. Titan Maximum premieres in September on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

One hundred years in the future, Saturn's moon Titan is defended by Titan Force Five, an elite squadron of young, brash pilots whose spaceships combine to form the giant robot Titan Maximum. As the series opens, the team has been disbanded due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of a team of dysfunctional misfits commanding a rustbucket robot.

Titan Maximum is created by Root and Senreich and executive produced by Green, Root and Senreich under Green and Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Productions and Root's production banner. Root leads the writing staff, which includes Senreich and two best-selling comic book writers: Geoff Johns of DC Comics and Zeb Wells of Marvel Comics. Chris McKay directs and Eric Blyler co-produces.

BK-Sponsored Search Discovers Carl Look-A-Like to Round Out Cast

After more than 80 animated episodes of the Adult Swim hit Aqua Teen Hunger Force, creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis have developed the first-ever live-action episode. To mark the occasion, they turned to none-other-than Grammy-winning southern soulster and rapper T-Pain to portray the Aqua Teen's only sane and rational roommate Frylock, whose animated form looks much like a floating box of French fries. Starring as the Aqua Teen's self-appointed leader Master Shake will be actor Jon Benjamin. The lovable and remarkably stupid Meatwad will be live as well but bare a striking resemblance to an exercise ball, and first-time television actor Dave Long Jr. has been tapped to play the Aqua Teen's obnoxious neighbor Carl after a lengthy nationwide search. The new season of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which continues throughout May on Sunday nights, will conclude with this first-ever live-action episode on Sunday, May 31 at 11:45 p.m. (ET/PT).

Grammy-winning singer-song-writer-producer-and actor-T-Pain burst on the music scene in 2005 and has produced and written a plethora of chart-topping and platinum-selling singles. In addition to the Grammy, T-Pain has garnered Songwriter of the Year" and Producer of the Year" honors at the BMI Urban Awards and earned a BET Award. His self-produced third album, THR33 RINGZ, was released last November, debuting at #4 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.

Jon Benjamin is a writer, producer, actor and prolific voice-over actor from Boston, Mass. In addition to writing for Late Night with Conan O'Brien and acting in such television series as Sex and the City and Human Giant, Benjamin has done numerous voice-overs for such animated hits as Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Assy McGee and Home Movies.

For this first-ever live-action episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Adult Swim embarked on a nationwide search, sponsored by Burger King Corporation, for someone to play the character of Carl. The task was daunting: find someone who possesses similar traits to the animated Carl, a simple man who's endearingly sweaty, hairy, lewd, fashion-challenged, horny, nasty and oftentimes annoying. After sifting through more than one hundred audition tapes, the real-life Carl was found: 23-year-old Dave Long Jr. from Edensburg, Pa.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is created by Matt Maiellaro (12 oz. Mouse) and Dave Willis (Squidbillies) and follows the strange everyday lives of three human-sized food products living in New Jersey.

Landmark BBC Comedy, The Office, Comes to Adult Swim

Series to Premiere on Adult Swim this Summer

Adult Swim today announced it has acquired the legendary hit BBC comedy, The Office, from BBC Worldwide. Both seasons of the two-time Golden Globe Award-winning series will begin airing on Adult Swim this summer. Adult Swim will also air The Office Christmas special.

Created, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, The Office is about the day-to-day lives of office employees in the Slough, Bershire branch of the fictitious Wernham Hogg Paper Company. The main character in the series, David Brent, as played by Gervais, is now firmly established as one of the great creations of comedy-and one familiar to office workers everywhere. As regional manager of the company, Brent fancies himself as a great team leader using humor to win the loyalty of his staff. In reality, he is belittling, smug, sexist, insensitive, patronizing and unthinkingly offensive. He tells crude jokes and talks in cliches and only gets away with it because his staff feels obliged to humor him. His employees are stuck in mundane, dead-end jobs, surrounded by irritating colleagues and engaged in bitter feuds over the most trivial things. Filmed as a fly-on-the-wall documentary, The Office is working life at its worst.

Since its UK debut in 2001, the series has captured the imagination of audiences around the world, with 81 broadcasters in 45 territories acquiring the UK original, and local versions being produced in the U.S., Canada, France, Chile, Russia and Israel.
Today's announcement to add The Office comes on the heels of the addition of the BBC hit The Mighty Boosh, a deal also done with BBC Worldwide, which had its Adult Swim debut March 29.

This March, Adult Swim is hitting the beach for its first-ever spring break event with Capcom®'s videogame Resident Evil 5® on board as sponsor.  Adult Swim Presents:  The Williams Street County Fair and Beach Party is a five-day fair and beach party taking place March 12-16, at 6 - 11 p.m. daily and will be centrally located near the most popular beachside nightclubs at 8813 Thomas Dr.  Adult Swim will integrate Resident Evil 5 through on-air, online and on-site promotion.

Adult Swim once again claimed the #1 ranking among ad-supported cable for weekly total day delivery of key young adults, including adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.  Highlights include +28% overall delivery growth among adults 18-34 (467,000) and +16% delivery growth among adults 18-24 (250,000).  Adult Swim telecasts accounted for 15 of the Top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported cable among adults 18-34-including five in the Top 10-which included presentations of Family Guy, Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Adult Swim holds onto the #1 spot on all ad-supported cable for total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.  Compared to the same week last year, Adult Swim increased its delivery of adults 18-34 by 19% and adults 18-24 by 15%.

(NOTE: As of the ratings period 2/23/09-3/01/09, Adult Swim's programming day is Mon-Sun, 10 p.m. - 6 p.m.  The previous year data is based on a total day of Mon-Sat, 11 p.m. - 6 a.m., Sun 10 p.m. - 6 a. m.)

Adult Swim telecasts accounted for 13 of the top 50 ad-supported cable programs of the week among adults 18-34 and 15 of the top programs for men 18-34.

Adult Swim once more stands as the #1 network this February among ad-supported cable for total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.  All demos earned positive growth compared to February 2008-adults 18-34 delivery increased by 17%, adults 18-24 delivery by 20%, men 18-34 by 6% and men 18-24 by 15%.

17 of the top 50 telecasts during February "09 among adults 18-34 belonged to Adult Swim, including presentations of Family Guy and Robot Chicken.  The most-watched Adult Swim telecast of the month among adults 18-34 was the Feb. 17 airing of Family Guy at 11:30 p.m., which attracted 1,680,000 viewers.

Among men 18-34, 21 of the top 50 telecasts across February were Adult Swim presentations, also Family Guy and Robot Chicken telecasts.

Adult Swim encored its #1 cable network performance last week among young adults total day delivery by once more ranking #1 among adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.  Compared to the same time period last year, adults 18-34 delivery (480,000) improved by 27%, adults 18-24 delivery (285,000) by 31%, men 18-34 delivery (296,000) by 17% and men 18-24 (188,000) by 30%.

Adult Swim telecasts accounted for 18 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported cable among adults 18-34, with six telecasts placing in the top 10, including both Family Guy and Robot Chicken.  Additional original series appearing among the top 50 telecasts of the week among adults 18-34 include Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Superjail.

Adult Swim (Monday-Sunday, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.) regained its #1 ranking across the board among young adult delivery-adults 18-34, 18-24 and men 18-34, 18-24-earning particularly strong growth for total day delivery of adults 18-34 (up 10%) and adults 18-24 (up 11%).  Programming highlights included King of the Hill (Monday-Saturday, 10-11 p.m.; Sunday, 10-10:30 p.m.) which posted double-digit gains across all target demos compared to its prior 4-week average on Adult Swim.  Overall delivery for adults 18-34 rose by 16%, while delivery for adults 18-24 jumped by 39%.  Similarly, men 18-34 delivery increased by 21% and men 18-24 delivery increased by 50%.

Adult Swim programming accounted for 14 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported cable among adults 18-34, with two telecasts of Family Guy in the top 10.  Additional Adult Swim original series that charted among the top 50 telecasts included Robot Chicken and Superjail.

With solid delivery growth among targeted young adults and male viewers, Adult Swim completes January 2009 as the #1 basic cable network for total day delivery of adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.  Across the month, adults 18-34 delivery (414,000) increased by 19%, adults 18-24 delivery (228,000) by 27%, men 18-34 delivery (244,000) by 2% and men 18-24 (143,000) delivery by 15%.

· The final week of January (1/19/09 - 1/25/09) scored even stronger delivery gains: adults 18-34 delivery (456,000) advanced by 39%, adults 18-24 delivery (262,000) by 43%, men 18-34 delivery (279,000) by 25% and men 18-24 delivery (177,000) by 43%.

· Among ad-supported cable's Top 50 telecasts of the month among adults 18-34, Adult Swim programming accounted for 14 telecasts.

Weekly Ratings (1/12/09 - 1/18/09)
With football wrapping up its season, Adult Swim once again claimed the #1 ranking among ad-supported cable for total day delivery of across young adults 18-34 and 18-24, and young males 18-34 and 18-24.  Even more significantly, all delivery demos showed mostly double-digit growth vs. the same time period last year: adults 18-34 delivery grew by 23%, adults 18-24 delivery grew by 34%, men 18-34 delivery by 2% and men 18-24 delivery by 12%.  All young adult female demos also earned double-digit delivery gains, ranging between 72% to 89%.

Among Adult Swim's key programming, King of the Hill (Monday-Saturday, 10-11 p.m. and Sunday, 10-10:30 p.m.) in its second full week earned double-digit delivery growth among target demos compared to its first week's performance.  Average adults 18-34 delivery increased by 12% and adults 18-24 delivery increased by 14%.  Overall, Adult Swim telecasts accounted for 15 of the top 50 basic cable telecastsof the week among adults 18-34, with three in the top 10.

Adult Swim ranked #1 among ad-supported cable for total day delivery of men 18-34 and men 18-24, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research.  Most young adult deliveries showed impressive gains last week vs. the same time period in 2008: adults 18-34 delivery grew by 14%, adults 18-24 delivery by 33% and men 18-24 by 20%.

Adult Swim programming also accounted for 11 of the Top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported cable among adults 18-34, led by presentations of Family Guy (11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.) and Robot Chicken(12 a.m.).
