SCHEDULING STRATEGIES:

By airing 2 off-net shows that appeal both to the "gamer' and the male demographic, G4 sets up a promotional vehicle to launch new originals.

G4 is getting more into off-net acquisitions in primetime.  With high profile acquisitions like COPS, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, LOST and now HEROES gives the Channel a built in audience immediately that they might have not had.  These series speaks perfectly to G4's young-male audience and is an excellent complement to the network's programming lineup, which includes content such as Comic-Con coverage, live daily strip ATTACK OF THE SHOW AND and video-game-review series X-PLAY.  It also allows the network to use the hit NBC show to expand their brands and promote original programming. G4 is launching a companion show that will air immediately after the new episodes of HEROES dubbed THE POST SHOW, the program will feature interactive elements including polls and chats, as well as interviews with cast and crew and previews of future episodes.  This kind of acquisition also shows that they are a serious player for product in the cable/broadcast acquisition marketplace.

Overall Monday-Sunday delivery average was up down compared to a year ago July 2007.However, Sunday nights specifically saw decent gains such as +22% increase in delivery and +48% increase in delivery with Men 18-49.Overall CODE MONEKYS, a viewer favorite was up +25% in delivery from one year ago.COPS was up +33% share in Men 18-49.

JULY 2008 PRIMETIME RATINGS ANALYSIS:

G4's primetime average for ratings, share and delivery Monday-Sunday was on par this month compared to June.Thursday nights specifically this month showed substantial growth. Overall delivery was up +17%.Men 18-49 was up +11%.

G4's Monday-Friday primetime programs are half-hour stacks, a mix of acquired and original.For the most part their programming has been pretty consistent week to week with staples like COPS, NINJA WARRIORS, X-PLAY and ATTACK OF THE SHOW.While both X-PLAY and NINJA was down this month.COPS was +100% share in Men 18-49.were up +50% share.

Japanese import UNBEATABLE BANZUKE was one of the highest rated programs on the network this month.Monday, July 14th there were 2 specials added to the primetime line-up.E308 Preview Show and E308 Spotlight Microsoft.E3 '08 was a solid success for G4. The event pulled in over 3.1 million
total viewers during the month of July 2008 and reached nearly one million Men 18-34. This year's E3 08 Live: Spotlight: Microsoft on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 1pm more than doubled last year's coverage with M18-34, gained +46% among male teens and was up +88% with homes. (G4 press)

Tuesday night, July 15th was the premiere of HURL.HURL attracting a cume of over 1.7 million total viewers with all telecasts of its first three episodes to date.Inspired by the outrageousness found on the interwebs, this show combines competitive speed-eating with intense physical challenges, all designed to shake up the competitors. It's kind of like an eating competition with an extreme sports chaser! YUM!We'll continue to monitor this one to see how it performs in future weeks.

Thursday 7/24, was the annual COMIC CON '08. The two-day event reached 1.3 million total viewers throughout the course of its run on
the network. Day One's premiere telecast gained +80% over last year's Day 1 with homes while its Men 18-34 viewership jumped +86% over last year's delivery. (G4 press)

More specials this month to report on was the CHAMPIONSHIP GAMING SERIES which debuted this month.It was reported that its initial airing debut gained +25% over its July 2007 time period average with homes.Another success story for the Channel.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were mix bags of repeated specials and stacked series.CODE MONKEYS was up +15% this month in delivery.A couple of episodes of off-network acquisition HEROES aired on Saturday night and was the #1 rated show on the network for the month.

ADDITIONAL RATINGS ANALYSIS:

G4's July 2008 performance was its strongest July in the network's history with households and total viewers based on impressions. Versus all months, July 2008 was G4's sixth strongest month in its history with total viewers and Men 18-34, while it was the second strongest month ever among Males 12-17. (G4 press 7/29/08)
