SEPTEMBER 2008 PRIMETIME SCHEDULE

TOP PRIMETIME SHOWS:

EXTREME MAKEOVER, HOW DO I LOOK, CLEAN HOUSE, WHOSE WEDDING IS IT ANWYAY, KIMORA, SPLIT ENDS,   PETER PERFECT

SCHEDULING STRATEGIES:

The Style Network, not unlike her sister network E!, has no consistent scheduling patterns. They do blocks of originals stacking, but the theme is not consistent throughout the month. There is no appointment viewing, rather it is the brand that you drop in and out of, like a magazine. You know what you are going to get, you just need to decide if you feel like viewing it at the time.

The one thing that it is consistent throughout all of the programming - it is about the "style."

PROGRAM/SCHEDULE CHANGES:

PREMIERES:

**August 13th - CLEAN HOUSE season #7 at 10pm
**August 16th - INSTANT BEAUTY PAGEANT (Season #3) at 9pm
**August 16th - THE DISH at 10pm

OCTOBER AND BEYOND:

**March 2009 - RUNNING IN HEELS

YEAR AGO/BIG PICTURE:

Compared to a year ago last September '07, overall delivery was up +8%.Wednesday and Friday nights were particularly strong with deliveries of +23% and +43% respectively. Some of the staple series/franchises were also up from one year ago: CLEAN HOUSE, SPLIT ENDS, WHOSE WEDDING IS IT ANYWAY, and HOW DO I LOOK?

SEPTEMBER 2008 PRIMETIME RATINGS ANALYSIS:

The monthly primetime average for Monday-Sunday in terms of ratings, share and demo delivery was up this month compared to August.Monday nights specifically saw significant growth this month. There was a +36% increase in overall delivery. And Women 18-49 was up +60% in delivery as well.

The network staples showing no signs of erosion continue to be: EXTREME MAKEOVER, SPLIT ENDS, CLEAN HOUSE, WHOSE WEDDING IS IT ANYWAY?, KIMORA and HOW DO I LOOK?EXTREME MAKEOVER was down -8% delivery this month.SPLIT ENDS was up +11%, HOW DO I LOOK was up +2% and KIMORA was up +22% in overall delivery this month.Signature series KIMORA specials was up +67% in delivery, and +100% share.A far cry from previous months ratings, this show has made a comeback this month! This series now in season #2 continues to be one of the Channel's highest rated, most acclaimed original series.

Signature show CLEAN HOUSE which premiered last month was actually down this month, as was CLEAN HOUSE COMES CLEAN.As was WHOSE WEDDING IS IT ANYWAY, which was way up in key demos last month.

Last month there were a couple of season premieres.INSTANT BEAUTY PAGEANT is actually down slightly this month and THE DISH, a magazine style series which focuses on the best and worst of celebrity culture, was up +6% in overall delivery this month. But didn't we know this one would have wings on this network - its all about fashion, beauty, guilty pleasures, and must see moments - doesn't this have all the makings of an instant success?

This month again there were lots of stacked programming nights.A particularly good strategy for this network, since so much of their schedule tends to be erratic. There were no other specials to report on this month. And the off-net acquisition of BIGGEST LOSER which aired on Friday 9/5 with 2 back-to-back episodes was up +29% delivery this month.Clearly, it appears as if Style could use some more of these kind of off-net acquisitions into their primetime line-up.
