420TV, the premium cannabis news, entertainment and lifestyle channel set to launch in early 2018, has begun production on “Medical Marijuana Miracles,” a provocative new program exploring the real stories of people who have benefitted tremendously from the medicinal properties of cannabis. The 10-episode series will be shot entirely in 4K and produced for 420TV by LA-based production house Scratch Creative.
With medical marijuana now legal in 29 states, and more than 60 U.S. and international health organizations officially supporting its supervised use among patients, the number of reported success stories has grown exponentially in recent years. Cannabis has not only been proven to help control pain and reduce the symptoms of a wide range of conditions, but it has also been found effective in actually treating several ailments.
Introducing viewers to these scenarios through fascinating, real-life cases, “Medical Marijuana Miracles” will highlight the impact of the plant’s medicinal components – tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and/or cannabidiol (CBD) – on everything from cancer, epilepsy and arthritis to PTSD, concussions, auto-immune disorders and Alzheimer’s Disease. Each powerful episode will put a human face on the wonders of cannabis in restoring quality of life where many would have given up hope without it.
"The CannaKids team and I are beyond excited to be working with this wonderful group of talented storytellers with a goal of spreading our very important message of cannabis healing to the masses,” said Rayn Tracy, CEO of CannaKids, which provided real-life stories to be featured in “Medical Marijuana Miracles.” “After my husband and I watched our own daughter find so much success with cannabinoid therapy, we knew other parents like us needed to know the truth about this plant. Partnering with companies like 420TV is helping us achieve that very goal!”
"It is incredibly moving when you see people who have really suffered find much-needed relief, improved health and new hope in what is truly a miracle plant like cannabis,” explained Doug Lee, Head of Programming at OWNZONES Media Network, which is launching 420TV. “We’re very excited about this series, as it shows that marijuana is so much more than many of us ever realized. For the millions of people actively using cannabis as part of their health care, it can be a completely new lease on life.”
Launching in early 2018, 420TV will be a destination to discuss the important issues as cannabis emerges as a societal staple of local communities around the U.S. While the channel will launch on 420TV.com and its mobile applications, it will quickly expand to other devices and through OWNZONES’ worldwide multi-platform distribution network. OWNZONES is a VOD platform with streaming video powered by OWNZONES Media Network, which produces and distributes content through its worldwide networks. Its distribution partners include Comcast, Amazon, Roku and Apple TV, among others.
