Byron Allen’s The Grio Launches Video Travel Series ‘Journeyman With Fitz Henley’

Los Angeles, CA -- Byron Allen’s The Grio (, the video-centric news community digital platform devoted to providing African-Americans with compelling stories and perspectives currently underrepresented in existing national news outlets, proudly announces its new short-form video travel series JOURNEYMAN WITH FITZ HENLEY. The Grio is the New York-based division of Allen’s global media company, Entertainment Studios, Inc. (  Nissan has signed on as the official sponsor of this four-episode digital travel series.

As travel increasingly becomes a part of the culture of African-American millennials and progressives, exposure to new vacation destinations are in greater demand. The Grio series, JOURNEYMAN WITH FITZ HENLEY, is a new digital video series featuring Fox 5’s social media personality and travel expert, Fitz Henley, journeying to getaways that require no passport, visa or airfare. Whether you live in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit or Los Angeles, Fitz will offer entertaining insight into the many ways in which travelers can fulfill their wanderlust by simply hopping in their vehicle and traveling just beyond the city limits. You will never believe that such exotic, exciting and exclusive destinations exist within a three-hour-drive from America’s major cities.

JOURNEYMAN WITH FITZ HENLEY will prominently feature scenic shots of the host traveling to breathtaking but lesser explored beaches, resorts, parks and nature destinations. Our intrepid host will show viewers how they can take their travel adventures to the next level while staying within local boundaries and a reasonable budget.

In the first season of the series, Fitz Henley will travel to Luray Caverns in Virginia; Billings Farm in Vermont, and The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. JOURNEYMAN WITH FITZ HENLEY launches November 7th on platform.
