CABLE HALL OF FAME MASTER OF CEREMONY ANNOUNCED

BBC’s Katty Kay Returns As Emcee

DENVER, April 12, 2016 – The Cable Center is pleased to announced that Katty Kay, lead anchor on the BBC’s flagship U.S. newscast “BBC World News America,” will return to emcee the 19th annual Cable Hall of Fame. The Cable Center will host the Cable Hall of Fame celebration on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Westin Boston Waterfront, in conjunction with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) Internet and Television Expo (INTX).

Kay has had a storied career with the BBC covering major U.S. and international events and interviewing a range of international figures and newsmakers. Kay is also the co-author of two New York Times best-selling books: “Womenomics” and “The Confidence Code:The Science and Art of Self-Assurance—What Women Should Know”. Kay also emceed the 2012 Cable Hall of Fame celebration.

The Cable Hall of Fame celebration will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the induction ceremony honoring: Mika Brzezinski & Joe Scarborough, MSNBC’s Morning Joe; Pat Esser, president, Cox Communications, Inc.; John D. Evans, chairman & CEO, Evans Telecommunications Co.; Tom Rogers, chairman, TiVo Inc.; Robert J. Stanzione, chairman & CEO, ARRIS; and John O. "Dubby" Wynne, retired president & CEO, Landmark Communications, Inc. The event program will also include the presentation of the Bresnan Ethics in Business Award, honoring the late William J. Bresnan, to Amos B. Hostetter, Jr. A festive after party concludes the evening’s activities.
