Charter Communications has launched Sony Pictures Television's Spanish-language movie channel Cine Sony on its top Spanish-language tier, the companies said Wednesday.
The multi-year agreement puts Cine Sony on Spectrum's Mi Plan Latino tier, according to Charter officials. Cine Sony is now available on all major pay TV platforms nationwide, added Sony.
“Over the past seven years, Cine Sony has seen tremendous growth among Latino movie fans who are craving popular Hollywood content," said said Tom Troy, Senior Vice President and General Manager, U.S. Networks, Sony Pictures Television in a statement. "We are excited to join the Spectrum family and increase our reach. Cine Sony is eager to work with Spectrum and our other partners to promote our vibrant audience demo to brand advertisers nationwide."
Added Charter Communications vice president of multicultural marketing Marisol Martinez: “Our goal is to offer a wide breadth of diverse content to our Hispanic customers. With the launch of Cine Sony, we’re significantly adding to our already robust Mi Plan Latino lineup.”
