NAPERVILLE, ILL., October 6, 2016—The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) has long been known for its industry-specific Annual Compensation Surveys. Today, the nonprofit organization announced a call for participants for a new benchmarking resource: CTHRA’s Cable and Telecommunications Employee Benefits Survey. PwC Saratoga, a global leader in workforce measurement, will conduct the new survey. Companies can register to participate on CTHRA’s website.
The survey will feature two components: employee benefits and HR metrics. The benefits portion will establish industry benchmarks for defined benefit (pension), defined contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending, educational assistance, severance, paid leave, short-term disability, long-term disability, wellness and nontraditional benefits. The topics covered in the metrics portion of the survey will include retention and separations, workforce productivity and profitability, staffing and hiring, organizational structure and leadership, HR cost and structure and labor costs.
Survey data and analysis will be released in aggregates to maintain the confidentiality of each participating organization, and survey participants will receive:
- PwC Saratoga’s proprietary web-based data collection and reporting tools,
- Standardized instructions for each data element that allows for “apples-to-apples” benchmarking,
- A customized report containing the participating company’s results compared to CTHRA’s industry-specific benchmarks,
- “All industries” benchmark data from PwC Saratoga’s national database for HR/workforce metrics captured in the metrics portion of CTHRA’s survey and
- An Executive Summary based on the results and trends for the cable and telecommunications industry.
Data collection will begin on December 1, 2016, and the deadline for submission is February 10, 2017. PwC will release the results of CTHRA’s Employee Benefits Survey on March 31, 2017.
