Discovery Communications and Civis Analytics Announce Big Data and Predictive Analytics Partnership

Silver Spring, Md. - Discovery Communications and Civis Analytics today announced the formation of an exclusive partnership designed to explore the greater implications of big data and predictive analytics across Discovery’s global portfolio of television networks, working towards optimized performance in a data-driven culture.

The pair have joined forces, at a time when big data and new technology continue to change the way viewers both choose and consume content, in an effort to more accurately interpret the rapidly-evolving viewership patterns of today’s television landscape.  Together, the companies hope to further Discovery’s big data and predictive analytics capabilities, ultimately utilizing the availability of big data to better inform marketing, media, development and scheduling decisions for all of Discovery’s networks.
