International Media Consultancy, K7 Media, has appointed TV industry luminary Gary Carter as a non-executive board member. Following demand from the company's global client base, K7 will develop a new service offering strategic advice to top level management, headed up by Carter.
Described by C21's David Jenkinson as 'one of the most influential players in the formats business', he has previously been presented with the Formats Gold Award at MipFormats for his outstanding contribution to the industry.
Carter joins K7's Managing Director Keri Lewis Brown, Projects Director Phil Birchenall and Non-Executive Director Clare Thompson on the company's board of directors.
Speaking on his appointment, Gary Carter said: “As the content industries have globalised, the service offered by K7 Media has become indispensable. With its deep reservoir of content information, its international network and reputation, combined with the production backgrounds of its founder and board, the company is uniquely placed to diversify both its client-base and its business offering. I am delighted to join the board at this exciting time for the company, to help K7 Media achieve its ambitious goals for expansion.”
The appointment to K7's board cements the organisation's standing as a leading media intelligence resource, offering bespoke research services to broadcasters, producers, distributors and advertisers across the world.
Keri Lewis Brown added 'Gary is a forward-thinking professional who is not afraid to speak his mind. His trailblazing attitude fits perfectly with K7's reputation for independent and impartial research. We are honoured that he has agreed to join us'.
