SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (June 16, 2015) – With more than 20 years of marketing experience, Heather Vaughan will now have the dual role of Vice President of Marketing for both the Pac-12 Conference and Pac-12 Networks, it was announced today. The expanded role means Vaughan will now oversee all Pac-12 Networks Promotions, Marketing and Creative Services, while continuing her existing role as VP of Marketing for the Conference.
"We are very excited to expand Heather's role to include the marketing responsibilities for Pac-12 Networks," said Chief Marketing Officer Danette Leighton. "Going into our fourth year, we recognized the importance to create as much synergy as possible to both brands. She has made a huge impact in elevating the Conference brand and we believe her creativity, leadership and knowledge of the Pac-12 will advance our marketing efforts."
"Since the inception of Pac-12 Networks, the idea of the Conference and Networks collaborating has always been on the forefront of anything we produce,” Vaughan said. “What I’m the most excited to take on is establishing a collaborative mentality for everything that we create and making sure that we have a strong but consistent brand across both the Conference and Networks."
Prior to her role with the Pac-12 Conference, Vaughan worked as the Senior Director of Marketing/Creative for the Sacramento Kings for 10 years. She also worked at various marketing and advertising agencies over a five-year period, including Grey Advertising, Sagon-Phior and Thielen and Associates. Vaughan graduated from California State University-Chico with a degree in Communication Design and a master’s degree in Communications from California State University-Fullerton.
