(Ludwigsburg, Germany, September 16, 2017)3 Screen Solutions (3SS), a leading provider to the multiscreen digital entertainment industry, today announced a ground-breaking new partnership with Huawei, the global information and communications technology (ICT) provider. 3SS’s 3READY Rapid-Launch Multiscreen Solution has been integrated with Huawei’s Envision Video Platform to give operators more monetization opportunities, fewer technical risks and greater efficiency.
3READY is 3SS’ viewer engagement solution, and has proved itself in the market since September 2016. 3SS has engineered 3READY to be highly automated and seamless across multiple viewing devices, supporting both iOS and Android operating systems. At the core of the 3READY is a front-end pre-engineered to meet the most demanding requirements of today’s entertainment platforms. 3READY’s simple and adaptive user interface helps subscribers discover and enjoy their chosen content, assembled from panoply of sources, whenever they choose, on any screen.
Kai-Christian Borchers, Managing Director, 3 Screen Solutions, said: “By collaborating with Huawei, we are jointly helping Telcos raise their game when it comes to innovative multiscreen digital entertainment, enabling both service providers and viewers to get more from IPTV and OTT.”
The combination of Huawei’s Envision, which is widely acknowledged for its functionality, flexibility and openness, paired with 3READY, offers Telcos and other Tier 2 and Tier 3 service providers the opportunity to launch attractive new multiscreen services safely and speedily: smart TVs, games consoles, PCs, set-top boxes and major smartphone platforms. 3SS complements Huawei Envision’s capability to provide fixed-mobile and cross-boundary convergence and empower operators to turn video into a fundamental service. Huawei’s video solution currently serves more than 100 million subscribers worldwide, delivering high quality customer experiences, intelligent operation and agile maintenance.
Huawei Envision features Fixed-Mobile and cross boundary convergence. Pay video, communication video, industry video, and user generated content (UGC) are jointly developed. Technologies such as 4K, UHD, VR, AR, cloudification, and IP-based technologies are maturing to improve the user experience. Huawei Envision supports more diverse business models and video service modes including broadband monetization, experience monetization, and content monetization and helps carriers tap into the potential of the video market. The cloud-native Envision solution can easily scale up as required by ever increasing video demand. Based on standards, alliances and open labs, the Envision Ecosystem assists customers in constructing the platform, content and device partnerships for video service development, and supports long-term video service by strengthening industry cooperation.
Huawei appointed 3SS a Certified Technology Partner in December 2015, consolidating the partnership to offer the marketplace 3SS’ functional and attractive customized front-ends in tandem with Huawei’s IPTV, OTT and hardware and software solutions.
A Demo of the Envision-3READY platform is available at IBC 2017 on Huawei Stand 13.A06 and at 3SS suite in Hall 15 MS30.
