NEW YORK, NY – (March 21, 2016) – Recognizing the very best in broadcast journalism throughout the New York Tri-State region and beyond, the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded NBCUniversal’s NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47 New York / WNJU and LX.TV a total of 14 Emmy® Awards during the 59th Annual Awards Gala, held on Saturday, March 19 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York City.
New York’s largest investigative and consumer reporting team (NBC 4’s I-Team) took home an impressive six New York Emmy® Awards for journalistic excellence. I-Team Investigative Reporter Chris Glorioso alone received four Emmy® Awards, including for “On-Camera Talent: Reporter – Investigative,” while I-Team Government Affairs Reporter Melissa Russo received two Emmy® Awards, including one for “Journalistic Enterprise.”
Stories led by NBC 4 New York reporters Andrew Siff and Marc Santia were recognized with Emmy® Awards on Saturday evening. NBC 4 New York photographer and editor Michael DelGiudice also took home top honors.

Telemundo 47 New York received a New York Emmy® for “El Aparatico,” which won in the category of “Promotion: News Promo – Single Spot/Campaign.”
