One America News Network outperforms Al Jazeera America by more than 3 to 1 and is fast becoming the fourth rated national cable news network
Washington, D.C. - One America News Network, “OAN”, a credible source for 24/7 national and international news, announced today that it will be celebrating its second anniversary as a 24/7 emerging cable news network on July 4th. Over the last 24 months, One America News Network has quickly established itself as a leading source for credible national and international news, producing 21 hours of live news coverage each weekday, plus two hours of political news talk shows – more live coverage than any other cable news network.
The latest second quarter performance data reported by Rentrak TV Essentials from the AT&T dataset shows that One America News Network outperforms a number of networks, including Fox Business News, Al Jazeera America, Fusion and Bloomberg. One America News Network, which outperforms Al Jazeera America by more than 3 to 1, is quickly emerging as the fourth-ranked national cable news network. OAN outperforms the combined performance of Al Jazeera America, Bloomberg and Fusion.
According to Robert Herring, Sr., CEO of One America News Network, “One America News launched at roughly the same time as Al Jazeera America. We knew that they could outspend us, thus we focused on what we believe is the winning formula with viewers across the nation, namely providing credible national and international news around the clock without any opinion. The featured star of our programming is the news, not the on-air talent or anyone’s opinion, something that is lacking in news today.”
Charles Herring, President of One America News Network added, “In the next 24 months, we hope to narrow the gap between One America News and MSNBC, the third ranked cable news network. The latest Q2 third party data from Rentrak via the AT&T dataset shows One America News running just over a third of MSNBC’s ratings”.
One America News Network has been providing extensive coverage of the 2016 Presidential campaign, including numerous exclusive one-on-one interviews with the leading candidates. In November of 2014, the network provided minute by minute results during its 2014 Midterm Election coverage.
One America News Network has secured broad distribution with numerous video providers across the nation including AT&T U-verse TV, Buckeye CableSystem, Centurylink PRISM TV, Consolidated Communications, Duncan Cable, Frontier Communications, GCI Communications, GVTC, Verizon FiOS TV, and My-HD internationally.
