Northfield, IL. - January 29, 2018 – The Board of Directors of the Media Financial Management Association (MFM)announced that Ralph Bender, CFO, Manship Media will Chair Media Finance Focus, the 59Annual conference for MFM and its BCCA subsidiary, the media industry’s credit association. Taking on Co-Chair responsibilities for the conference will be Melissa Mitchell, corporate controller Bonneville International. The conference themed “Big Ideas in the Big Easy” will be held May 20-22 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, New Orleans, LA.
Bender, current MFM & BCCA Board Vice Chair, has been actively involved with the two organizations for more than 25 years. Bender has served as board president of the organization and played an instrumental role in the combination of the two media finance organizations. He went on to serve as secretary, vice chair and chair of the MFM board and as co-chair and chair of the association’s annual Media Finance Focus conferences as well as a number of MFM committees. Bender is located at Manship Media’s offices in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that also serve the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. He is actively involved in his community and the Society of Louisiana CPAs.
Mitchell currently serves as MFM’s Board secretary and has been involved with the organization for over 10 years, also serving as Chair of the Radio Committee. As VP Corporate Controller at Bonneville, Mitchell is responsible for operational financial accounting and reporting, financial planning, analysis, financial systems, and operational process and reporting improvement for the company’s six markets in Denver, Phoenix, Sacramento, Salt Lake, San Francisco, and Seattle.
