Los Angeles, CA/New York, NY--Qello Global, a global content monetization and distribution platform, today announced a deal with Time Inc. to distribute video content from their portfolio of brands throughout Asia.
Qello will distribute and monetize video content from Time Inc. brands through its existing network of broadcasters, telecommunications companies, newspapers and online publishers. PEOPLE, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, INSTYLE, TIME, FORTUNE, MONEY, TRAVEL + LEISURE, HEALTH and FOOD & WINE, among others, will be widely available throughout India, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, and other territories throughout Asia.
With this partnership, Time Inc. will be able to access an international audience through Qello’s ad-supported distributor network, which garnered 2.7 billion video views from the APAC market in 2016.
“This is a significant step for Time Inc.’s international growth and broader video strategy,” said John Marcom, SVP and President of Time Inc. Qello’s technology multiplies and automates distribution channels globally, expands video inventory and enhances audience engagement, ultimately maximizing revenues for both parties. Qello uses proprietary A.I., machine learning, and big-data to tag, monetize and distribute the content. Its technology amplifies video advertising revenues even further with digital product placement, contextual video placement, hotspots and e-commerce. Qello also supports the content through localization, translation, marketing, ad sales and trafficking.
“We have the unique ability to take premium content and distribute it globally through our network of broadcasters, carriers, operators and other major media outlets,” said Rex Wong, CEO of Qello Global. “The Time Inc. brands are some of the most iconic in the world. We look forward to enhancing their footprint.”
