ZoneTV Turns Nine Popular Magazines From Bonnier Corp. Into New Pay TV Channels

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 6, 2016 -- ZoneTV, which brings the best in digital-first video to pay TV homes, will add to its programming through the licensing of more than 1,000 videos from Bonnier Corp., one of the largest special-interest publishing groups in the United States.

Bonnier Corp's titles includes more than 30 magazines, multimedia extensions, digital properties, books and events. Content licensed by ZoneTV includes video from:

  • Outdoor lifestyle titles include Field & Stream, Cycle World, Outdoor Life, Motorcyclist, Salt Water Sportsman, and Sport Fishing
  • Current event-focused Popular Science
  • Cuisine-focused Saveur
  • And the world's largest photography magazine - Popular Photography

ZoneTV licenses the best online content for pay television operators and curates them into popular genre channels. These ZoneTV channels are accessed by subscribers in the electronic program guide (EPGs) providing affiliates with content not previously carried on their service. This content is delivered via the cloud without the necessity to compete with traditional linear channels for limited bandwidth, making ZoneTV easy for an operator to add.  ZoneTV turns this often difficult to find online content into exciting and easy to use television.

"We are aggressively expanding our library of content, searching for most desirable videos for all audiences in the pay TV household," said Jeff Weber, CEO, ZoneTV.  "Bonnier's magazines and digital platforms address passions that all of us share: from sports to food, exploration and innovation. Our partnership will expand the reach of their high-quality content."

"Our consumers demonstrate every day that they want to interact with us on their schedule and via their preferred platform," said Sean Holzman, Bonnier Corp's chief digital revenue officer. "ZoneTV gives us yet another way to extend our multi-media presence as well as providing us another way for consumers to discover our content."
