HBO Sets June ‘Big Little Lies’ Return Date

HBO will bring back its freshman drama series Big Little Lies for a second season on June 9, the network announced Sunday.

The series, which stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz, will continue to explore the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and the vicious ferocity of sound parenting, said network officials.

Big Little Lies, based on the novel by Liane Moriarty, is executive produced by Kidman, Witherspoon, David E. Kelley, Andrea Arnold, Jean-Marc Vallée, Bruna Papandrea, Per Saari, Gregg Fienberg, Nathan Ross and Liane Moriarty
