TCA 2019: ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Spinoff to Debut on Freeform in March

Freeform will premiere the spinoff to its successful thriller series Pretty Little Liars on March 20, the network said during its Television Critics Association winter tour session on Tuesday.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists -- based on the novel The Perfectionists with characters from the Sara Shepard novel Pretty Little Liars -- follows the overachieving residents of a small town where the high-stakes environment eventually causes the murder of one of its residents, according to the network. Pretty Little Liars stars Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse (pictured above) reprise their roles from the new series. 

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is produced by Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. I. Marlene King (Pretty Little Liars, Famous in Love) serves as executive producer with Charlie Craig (Pretty Little Liars, The 100), Leslie Morgenstein (Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries), Gina Girolamo (The 100, The Originals) and Joseph Dougherty (Pretty Little Liars).
