What’s Premiering This Week (May 6-May 12)

HBO’s five-part series Chernobyl and Netflix’s debut of former Fox drama series Lucifer top a list of new and returning shows headed to cable and streaming services this week.

Chernobyl, which premieres May 6, dramatizes the story of the 1986 nuclear accident, and the brave men and women who sacrificed to save Europe from unimaginable disaster, all the while battling a culture of disinformation, according to HBO.

Lucifer launches its first season on Netflix May 8 after running three seasons on Fox broadcasting. Series star Tom Ellis returns in the series' 10-episode Netflix run.
